Pet Memorial Castings

Every paw tells a story.

The shape of their pads, the curve of their toes and all the tiny details that made them completely unique can be carefully preserved in a handcrafted casting.

Our castings create a beautiful, three-dimensional keepsake that can be displayed and treasured for years to come. Whether created as a memorial following a loss or as a keepsake during your pet's lifetime, each casting captures something deeply personal that a photograph alone cannot.

In partnership with Forever in Form

Our casting service is proudly provided in partnership with Hollie from Forever in Form, a specialist pet memorial casting company based in Manchester.

Hollie individually handcrafts every casting with exceptional care, skill and attention to detail, sharing our commitment to treating every pet with the utmost love, dignity and respect. Together, we're able to offer families the compassionate care and support they expect from Rainbow Bridge, alongside beautifully handcrafted memorials created by a trusted local specialist.

Individually handcrafted

Every casting is individually handcrafted and takes many hours to complete.

From taking the initial impression through to casting, refining, drying, sealing, hand-painting, waxing and the final presentation, every piece is carefully created to capture the unique details of your pet's paw or nose.

Each stage is completed with great care and attention to detail, ensuring every line, crease and contour is preserved as beautifully as possible.

Because every memorial is made entirely by hand, no two castings are ever exactly the same, making each one as unique as the pet it represents.

Created with care, dignity and respect

We understand just how precious these moments are.

Every pet entrusted to us is treated with the utmost love, dignity and compassion, exactly as if they were our own. Whether your pet is in our care following their passing or you are visiting us before a planned euthanasia appointment, we will always ensure they are treated gently and respectfully throughout the entire process.

Our aim is to create not only a beautiful keepsake, but also a calm and comforting experience for the families who trust us with their beloved companion.

Memorial Casting

For families choosing an individual cremation with Rainbow Bridge, a casting can be arranged before cremation takes place.

As the impression must be taken beforehand, please let us know as early as possible if you would like a casting so we can ensure everything is prepared.

We will carefully take the impression before your pet's cremation, allowing you to have a beautiful handcrafted memorial that preserves every unique detail of their paw or nose forever.

End-of-life casting before euthanasia

For families who know they will soon be saying goodbye, we also offer end-of-life casting appointments before euthanasia.

These appointments allow you to create a lasting keepsake while your beloved pet is still with you, capturing their paw or nose exactly as it is before their final goodbye.

Many families find comfort in being part of this experience, taking time to gently hold their pet's paw, share those precious final moments together and create a lasting memory before their euthanasia appointment.

These appointments are carried out with the same care, compassion and respect that you can expect from every Rainbow Bridge service, ensuring both you and your pet feel relaxed, supported and never rushed.

As these castings are taken before a pet has passed away, they are priced slightly lower than memorial castings.

If you have already arranged a home euthanasia appointment with one of our partner vets, or are considering doing so, please speak to us before the appointment and we will be happy to discuss the available options.

Hand-painted finishes

Each finished casting is carefully hand-painted to enhance the natural detail of your pet's paw or nose before being protected with a durable finish and beautifully presented.

As every casting is created from your pet's own impression, natural variations and tiny imperfections form part of its character, making every piece completely unique.

How long does a casting take?

Creating a casting is a detailed process that simply cannot be rushed.

The casting must be allowed to dry naturally before it can be refined, sealed, hand-painted, waxed and prepared for presentation.

Because every piece is handcrafted from start to finish, lead times can vary slightly depending on the drying process and chosen finish.

We firmly believe the finished result is worth the wait—a timeless keepsake that can be treasured for a lifetime.

Arrange a memorial casting

Castings can be arranged alongside your individual cremation or as a separate end-of-life appointment before euthanasia.

If you would like to include a casting as part of your pet's farewell, please let us know as soon as possible so we can ensure the impression is taken at the appropriate time.
