These Terms and Conditions govern the requirements relating to the declaration of your dog’s weight and any subsequent adjustment to the Service price where this weight differs from the weight declared at the time of booking. By booking a dog cremation service (“Service”) with Rainbow Bridge Pet Funerals (“we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to these Terms in full.

Definitions
In these Terms:

• “Weight Declaration” means the estimated weight of your dog provided by you at the time of booking the Service.
• “Actual Weight” means the weight of your dog as measured or reasonably assessed by Rainbow Bridge Pet Funerals upon collection or receipt.
• “Price Adjustment” means an increase in the cost of the Service based on the Actual Weight that exceeds the Weight Declaration.

Your Obligations

• You must provide an accurate estimate of your dog’s weight at the time of booking the Service.
• If you are unsure of your dog’s weight, you are encouraged to seek a veterinary assessment prior to booking.

Determination of Actual Weight

• Upon arrival at the time of collection or receipt, we may assess the Actual Weight of your dog using appropriate weighing equipment or reasonable professional judgment.
• Where the Actual Weight exceeds the Weight Declaration by more than the threshold applied to the weight band originally booked, we will exercise our rights under clause 4.

Price Adjustment

• If the Actual Weight exceeds the Weight Declaration such that your dog falls into a higher weight band than originally booked, we may adjust the price of the Service (“Price Adjustment”) to reflect the correct published price for the Actual Weight category.
• You agree to pay any Price Adjustment prior to the commencement of the Service.
• We will endeavour to notify you of any anticipated Price Adjustment prior to providing the Service, where reasonably practicable.

Rescheduling and Additional Handling

• If, in our reasonable opinion, the Actual Weight of your dog results in a requirement for additional personnel, equipment, or handling resources beyond what was planned for the originally booked weight band, we may require the Service to be rescheduled to a later time or date.
• Any rescheduling under this clause will be arranged at a time reasonably convenient to both you and us.

No Refunds for Over-Declaration
If the Actual Weight is less than the Weight Declaration, no refund or reduction in price will be issued on the basis of the weight being lower than declared.

Safety and Compliance

• Safety considerations for our personnel, compliance with health and safety requirements, and the dignified handling of your dog at all times are priorities for us.
• In the event that we reasonably determine that the declared weight, as compared to Actual Weight, gives rise to a health and safety risk, we may take any actions permitted by law and these Terms to manage that risk, which may include refusal to proceed until necessary adjustments or resources are provided.

Payment and Acceptance

• Payment of any Price Adjustment must be made in cleared funds prior to the Service being provided.
• Acceptance of these Terms occurs at the earlier of (a) payment for the Service; or (b) presentation of your dog for collection or receipt.

Amendments
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be available on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.

Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute arising will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
