Grants & Partnerships

Supporting those who care — for pets and for people.

At the Rainbow Bridge Foundation, we are proud to offer grants to community organisations whose work aligns with our mission: to support people experiencing the loss of a pet and to promote the wellbeing of animals across the UK.

Our grants programme helps local charities, community groups, and not-for-profit organisations continue their vital work — whether through pet bereavement support, animal welfare initiatives, or outreach that strengthens the human–animal bond.

Who Can Apply?
We welcome applications from:

  • Registered charities, CICs, and not-for-profit organisations.
  • Community groups engaged in relevant voluntary work.
  • Educational initiatives or social enterprises with a strong animal-related or bereavement support component.

To be eligible, your organisation must:

  • Operate within the United Kingdom.

Have a project or purpose that clearly supports one or more of the following:

  • Pet bereavement support (e.g. counselling, peer support groups, awareness campaigns).
  • Animal welfare (e.g. rescue, rehabilitation, rehoming, preventative care, or community education).
  • Public education about the emotional impact of pet loss or responsible pet ownership.
  • Be able to demonstrate good governance and responsible use of funding.

We regret that we cannot support:

  • Individuals or private businesses.
  • Organisations outside the UK.
  • Projects not aligned with our charitable objectives.

What We Fund
Grant amounts typically range from £50 to £500, depending on the nature, scope, and impact of the project. We may fund:

  • Specific project costs.
  • Equipment, materials, or venue hire.
  • Awareness campaigns or public engagement activities.
  • Training or resources related to pet bereavement or animal care.

We do not generally fund ongoing core costs (e.g. salaries or rent), but these may be considered where essential to the project.

How to Apply
Applying is straightforward. Please complete our online application form, which includes:

  • A brief overview of your organisation and its purpose.
  • Details of the project or initiative you are seeking funding for.
